The first day of Meteorological Fall has passed. We are now 6 days from Pumpkin Spiced Lattes being available, and 21 days from the Autumnal Equinox! So many things to look forward to for Fall! (The list below forgot watch endless football games.)
Not much is changing this week in regards to weather. Large amounts of sunshine, temperatures in the low to mid 90s and winds about 10 mph out of the south.
Temperatures remain 4-5° warmer than what is considered normal for the first week of September. Part of the reason is because moisture is still coming into Texoma along with a high pressure system sitting over us. Clear skies and warm, moist air coming in, don’t really allow us to cool off much.
Although the warm temperatures are nice, the moisture that is coming in may cause it to feel a little sticky or warmer than it really is. That is ok! This moisture will help Texoma receive some rain at the end of the 7 day forecast as a minor cold front comes through! (SHHHHH! Don’t scare it away!)
Although the rain is desperately needed now, let us be thankful for the next few days of sunshine without triple digits! This will hopefully help everyone say goodbye to summer.
Texoma’s Labor Day weekend looks FANTASTIC with sunshine and nice temperatures.
As the cold front approaches Texoma, clouds will increase but not drastically.
Enjoy the sunshine!
